DETAILS
The horse stables at Hornton Grounds Farm are a unique blend of old and new.

The enclosed yard divides into three areas:

A wonderful tall Cotswold barn has been partitioned with superb quality West of England stable partitions providing 4 large stables with fully fitted rubber matting. All stables are equipped with automatic drinkers.
The Tall Barn offers excellent ventilation and an area suitable for foaling mares.

A further Cotswold barn in rich golden Hornton Stone provides three large stables all with individual stable doors leading out onto the courtyard. Each stable is again serviced with automatic drinkers and each stable has fully fitted rubber matting.

The old cowsheds have been converted into three lovely horse stables and one pony stable, all have fitted rubber mats and automatic drinkers with stable doors looking onto the courtyard. The stables are very soundly constructed and all are well ventilated with good lighting.

A special area has been designated as a feed store for any specific needs for dietary requirements close to the stables.
An easily accessible dung stead is adjacent to the stables.
A secure tack room is available with individual saddle and bridle racks and a small storage area. Tea and coffee making facilities are available along with a large sink for tack cleaning. There is a w.c. provided.
The yards are under constant supervision.
An isolation box, blacksmith area and wash area is available along with a grooming area for grass liveries.
There are specially designated areas for car parking and parking for horse boxes – for parking at the owners risk.
Plenty of good quality grazing for horses is provided. The grassland is well managed and very well fenced with good gates. Late night check every night of the stables.
LOCATION + SURROUNDINGS
Hornton Grounds is set in rolling Cotswold countryside with wonderful off road riding around our 200 acres of farmland.
A bridleway leads down from our farm yard into the village of Hornton with wonderful rides off to the villages of Horley and Ratley and off to Edgehill and the stunning views of Warwickshire.
To the south of the farm are glorious rides and bridleways into Alkerton, Shennington, Balscote and Upton.
The team at Hornton Grounds Farm are committed to looking after the land and livestock to the very best of their ability. Every care is taken to maintain high standards of care and husbandry for crops and animals. We are committed to encouraging biodiversity. The farm is home to an amazing amount of wildlife from the common rabbit to deer. We have a pond, a lake, a spring rises into a stream which is one of the sources of the Cherwell and a young woodland developing which we hope will further increase the range of wild birds found on the farm.
